My father was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in South Africa. My mother is a Londoner, and I was born in South London, but spent most of my teens in the centre of France.
I speak fluent French and love French food.

I grew up hearing about South Africa and stories of my father’s relatives, and was introduced to South African food through the braais we had at home. By the autumn I will be based in Northern Ireland, near the sea and the lovely Mourne Mountains, where my partner grew up. We will be using wonderful Northern Irish beef for our biltong and local fish for our pickled fish.
